Na Fianna3-5
Boardsmill0-8

The dream of a first Ladies SFC title died at Athboy as Boardsmill were forced to play their second game in less than 48 hours and subsequently lost out to Na Fianna at the semi-final stage for the fourth successive year.

The concession of two penalties and wayward kicking which led to 12 first-half wides contributed to the 0-5 to 3-3 half-time deficit, but a spirited second-half display closed the gap. However, despite the best efforts of Emma Troy, Aideen Guy, Cliona Murray, Maire Hegarty and Edel Guy Boardsmill couldn’t recover.

Boardsmill - E Murray; S Kennedy, C Murray, A Guy; E Troy, M Hegarty, M Doran; L Bagnall, H Regan; L Griffin, K Hackett (0-1), E Guy (0-3); M Murray (0-1), C Ashe (0-2), L Dempsey (0-1). Subs - A Flynn for Hackett, B O’Toole for Doran, L Guy for M Murray.
