Boardsmill's junior hurling side took on a strong Na Fianna team in the junior hurling championship in Longwood on Sunday. The 'Mill lads started well and tacked on some fine scores in the first half from John Flood, Sean Dixon and Gerry Jones. Paul O'Brien finished to the back of the Na Fianna net after receiving a great pass from Dixon to go into the half time break 4 points up. 

The second half continued in the same vane as the first with some fine performances in the back line for the 'Mill side from Kieran Garrigan,  Paul Dunne and Fergal Smith to ensure that Na Fianna could only manage three points in the second half. Dixon secured 4 points in the second half and after a fine performance from  O'Brien he added to his tally with another point.
